About Samuel Bashan

Samuel Bashan served in the Israel Defense Force as a combat engineer officer and in the Israeli Secret Service for over 20 years. He was a member of the government dignitary protection unit, and served as the head of the team responsible for the personal security of Israel's Prime Minister, an assignment that involved close coordination with the US Secret Services. Special Agent Bashan is an expert in explosives and for many years was the head instructor of that field in the Israeli General Security (IGS) agency, training hundreds of Israeli security officers both in Israel and overseas. His trainees successfully unfolded several terrorist bombing attempts including the famous Ann Mary Murphy case, where he was specially cited by the head of the IGS on his training results.

Samuel is deeply involved in the survey of procedures and training for 'El-Al', Israel National Airline. He was also a member of the team that wrote the working procedures and security methods that are used today in many of Israel's public facilities including Ben-Gurion International Airport in Tel-Aviv. In response to threats against communities throughout the world, Samuel was part of an expert team set up to instruct community organizations in setting up effective security systems and training groups of volunteers to become security officers guarding public spaces and institutions.
