Amphora Research Systems Launches Custodian's Console

Amphora Research Systems (http://www.amphora-research.com), a key provider of Patent Evidence Systems, is launching its new Custodian's Console to give those responsible for the integrity and performance of the Patent Evidence process more visibility and control. With clear graphical displays highlighting research throughput and signature compliance plus a one-click option to verify the integrity of the document repository, the console puts control in the hands of the Custodian.

Cheyenne, WY and Bracknell, Berkshire, UK (PRWEB) May 7, 2008 -- Amphora Research Systems (http://www.amphora-research.com), a key provider of Patent Evidence Systems, is launching its new Custodian's Console to give those responsible for the integrity and performance of the Patent Evidence process more visibility and control.

Working in conjunction with Amphora's market-leading PatentSafe ELN/Patent Evidence solution, the Custodian's Console allows System Custodians to:

  • Monitor the performance of the Author/Witness signature process
  • Clearly identify areas of non compliance with SOPs and take remedial action
  • Review system usage metrics and demonstrate the corresponding ROI
  • Identify any anomalies early and therefore act promptly to correct them
  • Fully verify the integrity of the PatentSafe repository on a regular basis

Jo Worthington, Director of Customer Relations at Amphora, explains: "Whilst our customers have found PatentSafe extremely easy to deploy even for large numbers of users, there's still the human element of the process that needs managing and our customers have asked us for a little extra help in doing this. The Custodian's Console gives our customers the ability to easily manage and report on the performance of the Electronic Lab Notebook process in their organization. This tool will support increased compliance with their SOPs and build confidence that their IP is adequately protected."

The popularity of PatentSafe has made it the leading replacement for the Paper Notebook, trusted by companies the world over. However, the integrity and weight of any particular piece of evidence is ultimately down to the processes that are around it. The Custodian's Console is the final piece of this puzzle, allowing Custodians to manage those processes and spot problems quickly.
Simon Coles, Amphora's CTO, adds: "The popularity of PatentSafe has made it the leading replacement for the Paper Notebook, trusted by companies the world over. However, the integrity and weight of any particular piece of evidence is ultimately down to the processes that are around it. The Custodian's Console is the final piece of this puzzle, allowing Custodians to manage those processes and spot problems quickly."

Scheduled for general release in Q3 2008, the Custodian's Console is currently in beta.

Thanks to PatentSafe, scientists can collaborate effectively with colleagues at the next bench or in virtual teams across different facilities or institutions. Scientists no longer have to 'cut and stick' computer printouts into their traditional bound laboratory notebook, saving typically between 15 minutes to an hour per day. Furthermore, the entire PatentSafe notebook can be searched and shared with colleagues and all work is fully protected for patent and IP purposes. PatentSafe is quick to learn, affordable to deploy and can be used in conjunction with traditional paper-based methods if desired. PatentSafe can be used as a stand alone software product or with other discipline-specific ELN products from other vendors, which may lack sufficient IP protection.

Notes for Editors:
Launched in 1996, Amphora Research Systems is one of the world's leading suppliers of Electronic Laboratory Notebooks. Its software products, including PatentSafe, are used around the world by large and small companies, including those in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. PatentSafe helps scientists to work better, collaborate easily with each other, and protect their inventions.
